What is Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP and how is it used?

Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP is a treatment for many areas of the body. PRP is made by your body and we make it from the blood. We spin and separate the PRP from the blood as in plasma, then we use it for many types of care.

Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP can be used for:

  • Hair Restoration

  • Joint injections

  • Scar enhancement or assist with removal

  • Facial Rejuvenation/Fillers

  • Sexual Dysfunction like ED

Our PRP is derived in the most optimal conditions and safest environment. For us optimal PRP preparation must be addressed in several areas, parameters, and conditions. Conditions of PRP preparation should have following pre-workup addressing the following

  • Diets with proper nutrition

  • Water intake,

  • Macro-nutritional proteins,

  • Sugars and Lipids are well controlled

There exists many PRP kits, but variable influences of preparations can hinder the PRP prep. These influences vary affecting the platelets viability and concentration of growth factors in the PRP prep process.

We control all these variables, with our PRP or Platelet-Rich Plasma prep

  • Temperature of PRP

  • Select types of tubes and proper additives for areas of body to treat (PPP & PRP vs Fillers and Joints)

  • Centrifuge with rotor diameter, spin, force, time, and control vibration.

  • Further we make it safely, in clean air. We do this by transferring in a ISO class -clean environment field. After this process we re-inject back into the body, with your own optimal concentrations of platelets and growth factors.

One of the most common applications of Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP in use is for hair regrowth.  This is done by telling the body through stimulation signals from immune system receptors in the local treatment areas to enhance, repair and grow new tissue. New tissue is formed by the body’s own cells (your own cells) which makes this much safer, than if this was taken from an unknown person.

Contraindications are in immune system dysfunction and thrombocytopenia. A body’s area of treatment focus whether they are joints, skin, or hair is further done by enhancing the immune function with repair. Inflammation is one such side effect and is easily reduced naturally in a matter of time with the growth factors of the PRP and prep. An important process and critical step in the PRP repair process is to use the concentrated PRP to heal and reduce inflammation naturally.

Without a proper preparation, the growth factors can be minimal and less effective. Higher centrifugal or G-forces from spins, in studies show the destruction of the platelets and further reduction in growth factors making it so the injection is less optimal. We can understand how these less optimal preps for injections would be just empty fluid with less effective results. This is why it is critical to have someone preparing this correctly, knowing how to retain the vital components of the PRP and growth factors for optimal results.
